Beta Software

SampleStack is currently in beta. The software is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While we do our best to ensure reliability, beta software may contain bugs, errors, or incomplete features. Use it at your own risk.

Acceptable Use

SampleStack is a tool for managing your own audio sample libraries. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to use any audio files you manage with the software.

No Warranty

SampleStack is provided without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and noninfringement. In no event shall the authors be liable for any claim, damages, or other liability arising from the use of the software.

Data & Files

SampleStack reads and writes audio files on your local machine and connected storage devices. We recommend maintaining backups of your sample library. We are not responsible for any data loss that may occur during use.

Privacy Policy

The App

SampleStack runs entirely on your Mac. The app does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data. Your audio files and library data remain on your local machine and are never sent to any server.

The app connects to the internet only to check for software updates via Sparkle, an open-source update framework. This check sends only the app version and basic system information (macOS version) needed to determine if an update is available. No personal data is transmitted.

This Website

This website uses Google Tag Manager to understand how visitors find and use the site. This may collect:

  • Pages visited and time spent on the site
  • Referring website or search terms
  • General location (country/region, not precise)
  • Device type and browser

This data is aggregated and anonymous. We do not use it to identify individual visitors. No personal information is collected through the website.

Cookies

This website may set cookies related to analytics. These cookies are used solely for understanding site traffic and do not track you across other websites.

Third Parties

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise share any data with third parties. The only third-party service used is Google Analytics (via Google Tag Manager) for anonymous website traffic analysis.
