Preparing samples for the GR-1

The Tasty Chips GR-1 is a large-screen granular synth that imports WAV, AIFF, FLAC, and OGG and converts them to 44.1 kHz on import. Samples are mono, up to about 10 MB (roughly two minutes) each, with up to 32 held in RAM and effectively unlimited storage on the 20 GB internal flash or a USB drive.

Grain engines reward longer, evolving source material, so the per-sample size limit is the thing to plan around. SampleStack converts and organizes large sets, keeping each file within the GR-1's size ceiling so a sound bank imports without rejected files.
