Notes

  • Samples can be saved to / loaded from any folder on the SD card
  • WAV files only. 48 kHz, 16-bit is the optimal native format
  • Do not rename WAV files inside kit/project folders (KIT file references filenames)
  • FAT32 naming rules: avoid trailing spaces, embedded slashes, and Unicode characters

Preparing samples for the S2400

The Isla S2400 is an SP-1200-style sampler with two sampling modes: a 12-bit Classic mode at 26 kHz and a 16-bit Hi-Fi mode at 48 kHz, selectable per slot, so the format depends on the character you want. It is WAV-only, from a FAT32 SD card of up to 1 TB, and you can save or load from any folder.

One rule matters more than the rest: do not rename WAV files inside a kit or project folder, because the KIT file references them by name. Keep to FAT32-safe names with no trailing spaces or unusual characters. SampleStack converts to the S2400's optimal 48 kHz, 16-bit WAV and organizes folders without disturbing the filenames a kit depends on.
