TX16Wx
SampleStack supportedCWITEC
A deep, free software sampler that reads SFZ, and a native SampleStack export target in its own right.
TX16Wx is a full-featured free software sampler from CWITEC, with mapping, modulation, effects, and scripting. It reads SFZ, so it opens SampleStack SFZ exports, and SampleStack can also export native TX16Wx programs directly.
That makes it a two-way target: use the native TX16Wx export when you want its own features, or SFZ when you want portability. It runs on macOS, Windows, and Linux, and a paid Pro version adds extras.

File format and compatibility
You have two routes into TX16Wx. Export a native TX16Wx program from SampleStack for the tightest fit, or export SFZ and open the .sfz file in TX16Wx for a portable instrument. Either way your key ranges, velocity layers, and loops carry across. The SFZ export page covers what each format carries.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is TX16Wx free?
The core TX16Wx sampler is free on macOS, Windows, and Linux. A paid Pro version adds extra features.
Can SampleStack export directly to TX16Wx?
Yes. SampleStack exports native TX16Wx programs, and TX16Wx also reads SFZ, so you can use either route.
What is the difference between the TX16Wx and SFZ exports?
The native TX16Wx program fits TX16Wx exactly. The SFZ export is portable and opens in many other players too, at the cost of any TX16Wx-specific features.
